More opportunity. Fewer barriers. Youth support in Canada & the United States.
Our story

A foundation built around
young people.

Patrick Mazza, known as Pat Mazza, brings this work together around access, encouragement and the practical things that help young people move forward.

Start with what makes a difference.

The Pat Mazza Foundation For Youth focuses on mentoring, books, school supplies and grants. Each offers a different way to address a familiar problem: talent and ambition are widely shared, but access to support is not.

Pat Mazza’s focus is on helping young people facing financial or social barriers participate in learning and community life. That can mean an encouraging conversation, materials for school or support directed at a specific need.

This is work that asks for patience. A resource is useful only if someone can access it. A mentor matters because they keep showing up. The intention is to connect practical support with relationships that respect each young person’s independence.

Pat Mazza, Toronto and a wider community.

Toronto is part of the foundation’s geographic focus, alongside Montréal, Vancouver, New York, Buffalo and Florida. Across Canada and the United States, the purpose stays consistent: understand local barriers and help young people find a way around them.

A city name cannot explain every neighbourhood or every family. We approach these communities with that in mind. Local knowledge, accessible language and the voices of young people should shape the support offered.

Explain the foundation’s priorities, show how we think about youth support and help potential contributors prepare a useful conversation. It is a starting point for understanding the work, rather than a list of promises about what every applicant will receive.
